Ellen Manion, MSW, LICSW - Outpatient Supervisor
A Little About Ellen:
I have been working with clients across various ages since 2015. I focus on working with clients ages 6 and up with presenting concerns related to trauma experiences, depression, anxiety, and family stressors and conflict. I am neurodiversity affirming. I generally take a systems approach to the therapeutic work, involving parents or other supports in sessions at least some of the time.
My work with clients is relational and trauma informed. I use strategies from structured and unstructured play therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I often use an attachment theory lens as well. I do my best to show up authentically in all spaces. I believe that when therapists show up authentically, clients are more likely to be able to feel safe showing up authentically and with all parts of themselves as well.
I also supervise the Outpatient therapy team at Youable. My supervisory approach is reflective, trauma informed and relational.
Outside of work, I enjoy warm weather and hosting friends and family for dinner.
