Ellen Manion, Supervisor Outpatient Services
Hello!
I have been working with clients across various ages since 2015. I focus on working with clients ages 6 and up with presenting concerns related to trauma experiences, depression, anxiety, and family stressors and conflict. I am neurodiversity affirming. I generally take a systems approach to the therapeutic work, involving parents or other supports in sessions at least some of the time.
My work with clients is relational and trauma informed. I use strategies from structured and unstructured play therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I often use an attachment theory lens as well. I do my best to show up authentically in all spaces. I believe that when therapists show up authentically, clients are more likely to be able to feel safe showing up authentically and with all parts of themselves as well.
I also supervise the Outpatient therapy team at Youable. My supervisory approach is reflective, trauma informed and relational.
Outside of work, I enjoy warm weather and hosting friends and family for dinner.
Elizabeth Clark, MSW, LGSW
Hello!
I’m Liz, an outpatient therapist with eight years of experience in the mental health field. I sincerely believe in the resilience of the human mind and spirit and have devoted my career to understanding and nurturing emotional health.
I specialize in developmental disabilities, trauma, depression, and anxiety, concentrating on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, trauma-informed, elements of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. These specializations enable me to support clients as they navigate through life's transitions, overall mental health wellbeing, traumatic experiences.
Beyond my primary areas of expertise, I’m deeply interested in anger management, self-esteem, relaxation techniques. These interests have further enriched my approach to therapy.
My therapeutic style is grounded in the connection between our thoughts, emotions and behaviors and how this interaction impacts how we perceive and interact with the world. I believe therapy can be beneficial for everyone, having someone to witness our struggles and successes and riddle out our challenges or obstacles to help us live our best lives.
When I’m not in the office, you might find me with my fur babies (2 cats and a puppy), cooking, going to restaurants, watching food network (anything food!), anything nature (hiking, camping, hammocking), and watching TV shows.
Jose Gonzalez, MSW, LGSW
Hi, my name is Jose Gonzalez and I’m an outpatient Therapist here at Youable Emotional Health.
The first thing I want to do is commend you for taking the time to consider mental health counseling. Opening up about your life can be an intimidating prospect, but I assure you that I have every intention of providing every client I have with a welcoming environment where they can show up authentically and be met with positive regard. I believe that through saying exactly what you need to say, and a guided process of examination and reflection, we can work together to arrive at a point of clarity regarding the situation before you and how to move forward in a way aligned with your values. I don’t try to “fix” my clients, because I believe they are already enough to face their challenges, rather through empathetic listening, enhancing motivation, strategizing around goals, and examining barriers, I believe that we can lay out a path that you can follow to be a bit closer to where you want to be.
I have 7 years of experience in the mental field and primarily utilize elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing. I have worked in various settings including schools, community centers, inpatient substance use treatment centers, and outpatient clinics. I’m comfortable working with youths (8 and older), adolescents, and adults. I have experience assisting with a wide range of diagnosis including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and various others listed in the DSM. I have a commitment to recognizing that every client is unique and so are their treatment needs, and I place a lot of value in collaborating with clients to find what works best for them.
When I am not in the office, I play a lot of sports, appreciate time in nature, and enjoy a good horror or sci-fi movie here and there.
Jose sees clients in Spanish and English.

Additionally, I have advanced training in treating individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
I uphold a trauma-informed approach in therapy and utilize strategies from various therapeutic modalities based on what works best for you and what is known to be most effective for your presenting concerns. Most commonly, I employ skills from the following approaches: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Existential-Humanistic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
My therapeutic style can be characterized as enthusiastic, genuine, empathetic, relational, and collaborative. I became a therapist because I developed a profound respect for the exceptional power of therapy to transform lives. I feel called to help people who have felt marginalized, downtrodden, and burdened to discover their healing and empowerment.
In my free time, I enjoy going on adventures, listening to audiobooks, and spending time with my pets. A fun fact about me is that one of the simple joys in my life is wearing fun-patterned socks. I look forward to meeting you and helping you reach your goals!

Hello!
I am a down-to -earth person with a yearning to explore this world. Most often I have been called a 'light' through my experiences, and it perfectly describes how I strive as a therapist to be a lighthouse for others during the storms of their lives. There are so many unique aspects of each individual and being a part of supporting their self-discovery is something that I think is invaluable to the field. As a therapist I want to assist others in leading their own lives in order to become their best selves one step at a time. I started working in Mental Health in 2015. My approach allows clients to show up in session as they are in the moment and as their therapist, I can meet them where they are at and they can guide the path to their healing. Working with me will be a combination of having in-depth conversations about thoughts, feelings and behaviors, leaning into emotional expression as a form of medicine, breaking down internal walls and healing as a continual process filled with self-compassion so that one can live their greatest life.
My specialties are with Anxiety, Emotional wellbeing, Life transitions and inner child healing. Populations I enjoy working with are the LGBTQ+ community, teens, young adult and adults that want a safe space to process their emotions and life experiences. The modalities I use are, Client- centered, Humanistic, Trauma Informed, Solution Focused, Techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Techniques Acceptance and commitment therapy.
When I’m not at work, If It is a warm weather day you can find me outside soaking up the sun in anyway possible, and on the cold days I am more than likely inside, diving into a creative activity like Legos, exploring a new world in a book or watching an old comfort tv show. Fun fact about me, After I finished my master's degree I backpacked across Europe with my best friend, we visited 9 countries in 8 weeks! I absolutely love to travel and to experience various parts of this world, it is something that helps me to stay humble and to keep believing in the good in others. I aim to live in the present with a life of gratitude and to learn at least one new thing everyday until my time on this planet is done.

Hello!
I help people navigate the environments and communities they find belonging in. I take race, culture, gender identity, abilities, economic status, societal expectations into consideration and explore ways to empower a person to live a free, ambitious life despite the "boxes" society puts people in. My background as a mental health professional is rooted in decolonizing mental health treatment, meaning, I hold space to allow a person to find healing and deeper meaning to their roots, rather than working towards how to fit into a certain box society expects you to be in. I work alongside a person to help them find relief and deeper meaning/connection to themselves. I always aim for my clients to have a renewed sense of self when working together. Whether you have been in therapy your whole life, or just starting your journey, you can expect authenticity, empathy, patience, and thoughtfulness mixed in with a little bit of humor when working together. Trusting someone with your deep thoughts is a process that I take seriously. While you will be met with warmth and empowerment, there will also be a level of accountability and challenges to grow the confidence within yourself.
I have experience working with evidenced-based practices such as CBT, DBT, Feminist Focused Therapy (which is focused on empowerment, collaboration, intersectionality, and social justice factors when developing and reclaiming self-identity and agency), solutions-focused, strength-based, multi-cultural, family systems, harm reduction, and motivational interviewing. These interventions are based on the person and are modified to be culturally-appropriate.
While I have experience working with people as young as 7-years-old, I love working with people in their early teen years all the way to adulthood. Currently I split my time at Youable between Outpatient services and our Day Treatment program. I have experience and get excited when working with complex concerns and systems, depression, significant anxiety, trauma, self-harm, suicidal ideation/attempts, shame, guilt, overthinking, social anxiety, self-esteem, body image, anger/irritability, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship conflicts, mood swings and managing high stress.
In my free time I am passionate about thrifting, going to garage sales, and have a talent for finding the best deal on something. Outside of shopping, I like reading, doing crafts, spending time with my dog, being active and being in nature.
